Bread Bandits Rising

"Less Wonderbread, More Wonder and More Bread"
--Panino Bandito

Bread Bandits began making public sculptures  in July 1997 to joyfully criticize the spectacle--a con game of business and mass culture--of the mass production of foodstuffs that are devoid of nutrition. In the wake of the Anti-Capitalist Convergence, our position has grown more anti-corporate. But our initial question remain unchanged: how can mass produced food be "wonderful" when it actually has none of the qualities of wonder: joy, fulfillment, satisfaction--in short, NUTRITION?
