Othello in the Wasteland
artist: Romeo J. Taylor III

Romeo Taylor did not sign this work, but it is very clearly his: the fine details of the clothing, which form strange, abstract patterns, and the fine lines, along with the metaphysical theme and racial anguish mark it as his. Here, a black man in Shakespearean costume sheds a single tear while standing in a barren field outside his castle. This painting apparently refers to Shakespeare's great play, "Othello."
